As an archipelago of 7,107 islands and a tropical country blessed with some of the world’s greatest biodiversity, it is a given that the Philippines can serve as a good playground for both beginner and seasoned hikers alike. In the Batangas region alone, there are plenty of mountains awaiting for you to summit – one of these lovely gems is Mt. Talamitam. Below are the photos from our Mt. Talamitam adventure. Some photos are from Paolo Dala.
The Summit
While at the summit, I also took some ‘birthday’ photos for my special someone.
Layong Bato River
At the foot of the mountain, you’ll find Layong Bato. We grabbed our chance to take a dip in the river’s cool waters. After relaxing for a while, we headed to the second mountain of our twin dayhike – Mt. Batulao.

Wow you took such great photos! I wish I had more patience but it was too hot that I didn’t even get great ones when I hiked. Now that I started blogging, need to change that asap!
