The odds will always be in Philippines’ favor if the search for the world’s top island is a raffle draw! Even if it isn’t the case, the Philippines can still get top spots in the ‘World’s top islands’ list. It was a double win for the said tropical country in the recent Readers’ Choice Awards of a US-based luxury and lifestyle travel magazine, Conde Nast Traveler, as Palawan named as the “World’s Best island” out of the 30 islands that made it to the ‘top island destination’ list and Boracay at the 12th spot. As an archipelago with over 7,107 islands, it is invitable that the Philippines would have an abundance of beautiful beaches. However, Boracay, Palawan and other notable Philippine beaches are plane-ride away from the metro. With the country having one of the world’s longest coastlines, you can never run out of beaches to explore in the Philippines. Even if you’re from Metro Manila. you don’t need to spend money for airfare to enjoy a nice sunny beach getaway since Manila’s nearby provinces are blessed with beautiful shorelines. Batangas is one of those blessed nearby provinces. A month ago, I’ve blogged about Ilijan, one of Batangas’ hidden gems and now, I’m going to show you another treasure of the said province they call as the Layag-layag Beach.
